Gaze

Maqueta Films is shaped by a Mediterranean sensibility that understands territory not as landscape, but as cultural structure. We are drawn to geographical and symbolic peripheries, to social margins, to identities in transition, and to stories that expand contemporary representation.

We develop first and second features with close attention to process, integrating writing, positioning, and production thinking from the outset. Our practice moves between fiction and non-fiction, engaging with memory, gender, inequality, subjectivity, and narrative forms shaped by contemporary debates.

Each project is conceived as part of a long-term commitment: generational renewal, sustained collaboration with filmmakers, and dialogue within the European ecosystem. The local is our ethical and aesthetic point of departure, allowing each film to find its circulation beyond its origin in an organic way.
